“The Siberian Sessions Vol.1” is the ep presentation of the new project of the musician and producer Lalo López, guitarist and composer of the legendary Fundación Tony Manero, a pioneer band of Spanish disco-funk.
Lalo brings us new songs with his limited orchestra, where funk, northern soul and disco are mixed with lyrics in which the author shows us his particular worldview, full of optimism and sensitivity.
The ep It collects two songs recorded live at the Nación Funk studios in Barcelona with the string accompaniment of the Barcelona Rock Strings.
“Paraíso Artificial” is an exciting low tempo album with a brilliant chorus in which the voice of the singer Brigitte Emaga, and the accompaniment of strings, bring to mind the best moments of Acid Jazz from the mid-90s.
“Volar” is an uptempo soul that speaks of second chances, which reminds us in equal parts of the Isley Brothers in their Motown phase and the contagious optimism of Dexy's Midnight Runners.
Lalo López Limited Orchestra is a new demonstration of the vitality of current dance music made in Spanish, and marks the beginning of a new creative time for Lalo, join him in this new adventure!
